The following procedure has to be done only once for each practice.
Since the changes implemented in July, you
now need to set PCAG up as a Remote Enquirer on the EMIS system, in order to run
the PCAG Audit set of Miquest queries. You do not need to go through this
process if you are running the Housekeeping or Recall set, as these are local
searches. However it would be useful to do at the same time as running
another set, so you are prepared when you want to run the Audit.
1) At the Main Menu press QP (for query processor).
You should be prompted about whether you want to update the Miquest query set, please press "No" at the moment.
2) Now press X (for enquirer setup) then A (for add remote enquirer).
Enter the following data so the screen reads as exactly as written below (e.g. NHSPCAG must be in capitals):
(note: us the {return/enter} key after each line. If you need to return to a line to correct anything, you can use the up and down arrows)
| A Enquirer Code:
NHSPCAG B Enquirer Name: Leicestershire PCAG C Access Allowed: Y |
followed by "Y" to confirm the Details are Correct?
3) Making sure that NHSPCAG is highlighted, now press P (for Enquirer privileges) and enter the data so screen reads as below:
| Allow any queries: Transmit strong identifiers: Access to patient details: Access to medication: Access to consultations: Access to history: |
Y N Y Y Y Y |
then {Return} to complete privileges.
If required you can add full contact details of PCAG by pressing C, but this is not essential.
4) Once completed, press [F1] to return to the main menu.
