After running a Register Housekeeping Miquest set PCAG will feedback an Excel spreadsheet containing lists of patients whom only the practice can identify whose records need to be checked for accuracy and appropriate changes made. A summary sheet is also created showing where more than one disease register needs updating for the same patient.
After running an Audit Miquest set PCAG will feedback a spreadsheet that not only summarises practice results but also adds value by giving anonymous comparison with the practices peer group.
The first sheet in the workbook contains the raw data generated by the set with a preliminary analysis.
The second sheet presents an analysis by the PCAG audit criteria compared with the peer group. The charts are ready to print. Using data from practices with complete CHD disease registers, an age/sex controlled estimate for the CHD prevalence of the practice is given to help practices assess the completeness of their own register. Furthermore, for the audit criteria the range of the peer group data is given as error bars to enable practices to better assess their performance.
The third sheet is present if the current audit is the second or subsequent audit by the practice. This contains comparative data and graphs for both the practices previous performance on the audit and its peer group. For proximal outcome measures such as BP or cholesterol control an estimate of the probability of improvement (ie not due to sampling errors) between this and the previous audit is given, where this can be calculated.
The fourth sheet provides an NSF view on the data to enable the practice to meet the CHD NSF audit requirements.
The fifth sheet provides a BLOWMRH view on the data for the project that was run across three of the Leicestershire PCGs.
