Over the last few years PCAG have trained over 100 local staff in electronic audit. Recent changes in primary care, most notably the arrival of the new GP Contract, have impacted on the electronic audit work that the department undertakes.
With this in mind, Dr Shepherd (GP Computer Advisor) runs electronic audit courses from time to time. Keep an eye on our home page Notices. The courses consist of half day sessions (usually held on consecutive Monday afternoons) and take place at Saffron Group practice. All sessions will take place from 2.00pm to 4.30pm.
The sessions cover our housekeeping system which enables practices to build comprehensive disease registers, template upgrades, a handy guide to the maze that is QOF coding and information on other electronic PCAG audits. Part of each session will be devoted to an "open surgery" where staff can bring along questions/problems and David will try to address these.
The courses will be held on the dates to be announced. An overview of the course is available on line in PowerPoint format.
We hope develop better on line training using Powerpoint presentations to be used alongside your clinical system with screen shots to guide you through the process of running PCAG Miquest queries.
