PCAG have reviewed all 44 PCT CHI reports from May 2002 to September 2003 and analysed the clinical audit action points. This has produced 11 common themes in terms of work that PCTs need to implement in relation to clinical audit. PCAG have also reviewed all 44 reports to identify areas of "good practice" where CHI have commended PCTs for their audit work/support. This gives PCTs yet to be reviewed ideas of what CHI is looking for and solutions some PCTs have developed. Further, there is an audit checklist which PCTs can use to gauge where they are in terms of delivery of clinical audit on their patch. Added to that, I have summarised contact details for PCTs that have been reviewed and produced a basic list of helpful websites. There is also an overview of problems encountered with CHI reviews that PCTs may be interested to consider. Leicestershire PCAG have just finished work for local PCTs on a document to help with preparation for CHI visits.

PCAG have reviewed all 44 PCT CHI reports from May 2002 to September 2003 and analysed the clinical audit action points. This has produced 11 common themes in terms of work that PCTs need to implement in relation to clinical audit.
