Below are the comments on the venue:

  • After dinner speaker always helps to focus the evening!

  • Coffee often cold, eggs undercooked, wine over-priced.  Enjoyed the Casino!

  • Difficult to find the workshops - maybe have the names of rooms arranged in reception

  • Dinner Fine, but lunch not enough choice and very little for vegetarians

  • Evening meal was excellent thought Sat lunch - sandwiches included meat and Vegetarian choice but on the same platter. When will hotels stop doing this?!

  • Excellent Food and entertainment was really good fun.

  • Excellent hotel, food and fun evening. Not the greatest location for those outside the Midlands

  • Food - lack of vegetarian options on Friday lunchtime. Conference Dinner was very nice though!  Service a bit confused

  • Food not extra special for the price paid.

  • Food poor, service slow, waitress sullen

  • Food was excellent as was the casino night

  • I thought Breakfast was a rather solitary affair as we were all sat on different tables.

  • Involve people from other areas - geographically, therefore more diverse perspectives

  • Lunch on Friday was somewhat limited

  • More entertainment facilities, i.e. pool table, dart board...

  • Sadly no vegetarian meal provided at lunch on Friday

  • Unclear parking instructions

  • V good

  • Vegetarian Food - More of it!

  • Venue difficult to get to - need shuttle bus

  • Very accessible, comfortable, friendly environment.  Lack of vegetarian food at lunch and vegetarian sandwiches mixed with meat sandwiches.  Was very nice to have leisure facilities.

  • Why was every one so anxious to get us out of our rooms before midday

Those who answered yes for the previous question, gave the following comments:

  • A list of all lectures please up front, any cancelled workshops should have been managed better

  • A map of the building

  • A pad of paper!

  • Blank note paper please

  • Breakdown of all workshops and venues

  • Contact details for colleagues and speakers

  • Full workshop allocations including room details would have been useful. Lists of workshops and attendees, to enable people to change, if required.

  • Handouts from all sessions

  • Handouts/slide sheets for other workshops not attended (as I wanted to attend more than I could!)

  • I would like an e-mail of the presentations - the significant event audit one please!

  • If handouts were to be available - handed out in pack. Note paper for making out notes

  • Individuals roles

  • List of useful websites

  • More contact info given for delegates

  • More details on the delegate list e.g. inclusion of e-mail addresses and job roles

  • More handouts, paper for writing notes on

  • Note paper

  • Notepaper - forgot mine!

  • Paper for taking notes, more handouts.  If handouts to be sent later, then this should be publicised.

  • Paper to make notes

  • Paper to make notes on

  • Paper to make notes on.

  • Perhaps grade and Jobs of delegates/email addresses

  • Reference list

  • Rooms that there workshops are in listed - or on notice board

  • Rooms where all events were taking place, especially main auditorium

  • Workshop/skills sessions explained more clearly

Below are the additional comments about the conference

  • Casino night was great. Very informative. Organisation was pretty good!!

  • Conference delegate pack was particularly useful because it gave workshop and venue details on the programme - very useful!  Well-done Stephen & team, and Pfizer.

  • Congratulations to all involved, excellent time spent, especially found the workshop 'Performing under Pressure'

  • Enjoyably but content could have been more challenging

  • Every PCT should be asked to bring a poster of an area of good practice. Participants could leave contact details to receive info about areas on which they were weak.

  • Excellent Organisation - really enjoyed it. Please do another one next year!!

  • Excellent workshops on the whole. Went away with Food for thought. Picked up some useful coping strategies.

  • Excellent! Perhaps make it a full two days so that we can have more workshops and more time to network. Tend to find out in workshops that you want to talk to and there was little time to follow this up on Saturday. Alarm clock of sat speakers!

  • Given the sponsorship (not value for money).  I wonder if the hotel's charges must have been quite high?

  • I felt there should have been time for an extra session on Friday and Saturday.  Would have increased VFM but I am grateful to you for organising the event and would encourage you to do it again.  I liked the workshop approach and some of the self-management

  • I found the conference and excellent opportunity for networking.  Relaxed environment and open to comments & feedback.

  • I heard a lot about Audit 'teaching to suck eggs' comes to mind. Would have liked more on 'Change Management' as part of Audit Cycle.

  • I think there was too big a gap from the end of the workshops until the evening meal. It would have been possible to put another in. Also Sat am start was 45 minutes too late. Both Friday workshops I attended were too presentational and would have benefited

  • If it had more substantial information

  • It was good to have your personal programme in your pack. It would have been helpful to have the workshop venues posted somewhere. Locations were less well stream lined as the overall organisation of the event. Well planned, Thank you

  • Layout of rooms not prepared by hotel| i.e. interruptions with delivery of work. Importantly, learnt how to play Blackjack!!

  • Liam Fox enjoyable speaker but more of an after dinner youth than a useful interchange. A board to pin best/useful 3 things they are doing. This should be grouped and a time made available to meet people who are already delivering particular areas.

  • More time for workshops - have fewer to enable this

  • Organisation needed more attention at times e.g. equipment set up and working ready for workshops. Would have been good to end the session with all delegates together in the main auditorium with a second speaker

  • Organising and hotel very good. Some workshops not really in workshop format - i.e. presenting from front only. Also some lack of content for a two-day event. Otherwise great - Thank you

  • Please send out all handouts to delegates of the discussions attended

  • The focus seemed to be on countywide audit while this is vital, my role doesn't involve this element of Clinical Audit - Some focus on engaging community staff and developing community specific audits would be very useful. Very well organised

  • The workshops should have been organised and cleared with leaders to ensure agenda specific to Primary Care colleagues

  • There was not enough to do for my tastes an extra workshop on Friday would have been a good use of time as we had come a long way. Casino was fun! Thanks
